Shea Butter is a natural plant fat extracted from nuts from the African Shea tree. Although it is extracted from nuts, it is considered safe to use even for those with nut allergies. It is high in both vitamins and in fatty acids, including palmitic, linoleic, oleic and stearic acids. This makes it is a highly moisturizing ingredient which is very nourishing for the skin, as it restores the Lipid Barrier (Moisture Barrier) in the skin, therefore rapidly restoring moisture.
